Outlook prompts for creds to connect to old server.  Only clients configured for Outlook Anywhere.
Recent hardware upgrades and Exchange 2007 server move. Rebuilt Exchange 2007 on new hardware and migrated mailboxes, OAB and public folders without any problems. All of the clients (Outlook 2003-2010) that do no use Outlook Anywhere went through the move seamlessly. The clients that do use Outlook Anywhere connect to the new mail server fine but still ask for creds to connect to the old one even after manually configuring to OA to use the new server. The new server has a new public address as well. Help and advise will be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Andrew

What do the Autodiscover records point to in DNS? The old or new server?

Hello, Please first check if autodiscover works properly. Or you can also re-configure the Outlook Anywhere settings on the Outlook client and manually point the server name to the new CAS server. Thanks, Simon

Autodiscover is pointing to the new server. There are a little over 100 clients , changing them all manually is an option but hopefully the last. Thanks, for your reply.

The clients are not resolving autodiscover.domain.com , will have to correct some DNS issues and post update. Thanks for the pointer.

The internal name space is domain.com instead of .local and why the machines on the internal network were not resolving. Added A record for autodiscover. Seems to have repaired the issue with repeated prompts. Thanks for your help.
